The wilderness retreat Solberget has a special offer for travelers with the Inland Railway:
Stay overnight with us including a 3-4 hours hike with reindeer (pick-up from the inlandsbanen but also the train-stations Murjek and Nattavaara are possible).
We will pick you up at the train station Gällivare (70 km) or Jokkmokk (90 km) and take you to the wilderness retreat Solberget. Here, we will show you around the old farmstead from 1790 and explain, how live works here. As we have no running tap-water or energy our introduction will help you find your way around. You will get to know the small spring in the forest, the water-well and the sauna, but also the reindeer. Depending on your time of arrival either dinner or a nights rest our inventive rooms or the tour with the reindeer awaits you.
While your stay in Solberget we will go for a 3-4 hours hike with the reindeer. The reindeer will carry all what is needed for a barbeque. Their calm nature enriches our experience in nature. Two persons at a time are responsible for each animal and have to take turns in leading the animal.
Duration of the hike: 3-4 hours, incl. barbeque.
At the end of your stay we will take you back to the train station. You may also stay a little longer to experience the calm and quiet of the wilderness-retreat Solberget (20 km to the next house).
Every day, times can be arranged (please book at least 12 hours in advance).
2490 skr per adult, children up to 15 years accompanying adults are FREE! 1 child per adult maximum, otherwise each child is 50% of the adults’ price. Transfer to and from the Inland Railway is included in the price!
1990 skr per adult, children up to 15 years accompanying an adult are FREE! 1 child per adult maximum, otherwise each child is 50% of the adults’ price. Transfer to and from Nattavaara or Murjek is included in the price! There are several busses/trains from Gällivare to Nattavaara. From Jokkmokk there are several busses to Murjek. Further information on the busses can be found below.

Please note that chores like making fire, collecting water, laying the table and washing the dishes are done by our guests.
Additional nights are 60€/night/adult, children 50% (1 child/adult is free)
Rental of sleeping bags 5€/person for the complete stay (you may also bring your own sleeping bag)

Please note that the train no. 94 only stops upon request at 7.41 am in Nattavaara. Train no. 93 only stops upon request in Nattavaara at 7.17 pm although this has to be applied for in advance. Talk to us before please.
