The first days we will get to know the vicinity of Solberget, take a few rounds on ski, relax in the sauna and get prepared fort he snow-shoe hike.

Additionally, you will get to know the reindeer at Solberget and take a tour with the reindeer: sitting on the sledge we will be gliding through the snow-covered winter-forest.

Finally, we will start our 2-day hike with the snow-shoes. The night we will spend in a small hut or kota (a tent which can be heated). You do not need to carry anything, the dogs will do that for us.

In Jokkmokk you may visit the Sami museum, if you wish, you may spend additional time on a dog-sledge tour.

One evening, we will sit in the kota (a Sami tent) around the fire and listen to stories of a Sami reindeer herder.

If you wish, you may visit the Icehotel in Jukkkasjärvi and even spend a night there. ( please notify us in advance).

Please be aware:

The train trip from Stockholm is about 20-200€ per person. We are happy to help with the booking. The tour starts at 2pm on the day of arrival in Solberget. The tour ends on the last day at 3 pm. Rooms are available from 2 pm on the day of arrival and until 1 pm on the day of departure. If you arrive earlier or leave later our guests may use the guest-house kitchen (the common-room). On the day of arrival we will show you around Solberget (compulsory).

• Pick-up at the train-station in Nattavaara

• Guided tour of the village (1st day at 2 pm)

• Full board with local and typical specialties (partially organic grown food)
• 4 nights of accommodation in unique rooms (usually shared rooms, doubles are additionally 8€ per person and night. We believe that you will appreciate sharing a room and thus all that is involved with keeping the fire running)
• 1 night in basic forest cabin or kota (oven-heated tent) during the tour, one night in Jokkmokk in the youth-hostel/ cabin
• 1 guided ski tour (about 2 h)
• Sledge-riding with reindeer (approx. 1,5 h)
• Snow-shoes for the two day tour
• Try out a short trip with dog-sledge
• 2-day snow-shoe-walking including overnight stay in a kota (oven heated tent) or a small forest hut.
• Visit of the sami-museum in Jokkmokk
• Transfer Solberget to Jokkmokk and back

Further things you may wish to do::

• Visiting the Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi: from 50€/person for car rental (190 km one-way) plus 33 €/person admission fee). You may book this trip once you are in Solberget. We will lend you the car. Please do not forget to bring your driver’s license.
