Dog sled tour

• Stay at Solberget
• 2 day tour with a dog sledge including overnight stay

In the first days we will discover Solberget and its vicinity, go to the backcountry with the skies as well as relax in the sauna and prepare ourselves for the upcoming dog-sledge adventure.

Furthermore we will get to know the reindeer at Solberget. We will take a sledge tour with the reindeer, gliding trough the white snow covered forest.

After, we will start the dog-sledge adventure for two days. We will stay in a small forest hut or an oven heated tent (kota). There will also be possibilities for snow-shoe-walking.

In Jokkmokk you will also have the possibility to visit the Sami-museum.

Please be aware:

The train trip from Stockholm is about 20-200€ per person. We are happy to help with the booking. The tour starts at 2pm on the day of arrival in Solberget. The tour ends on the last day at 3 pm. Rooms are available from 2 pm on the day of arrival and until 1 pm on the day of departure. If you arrive earlier or leave later our guests may use the guest-house kitchen (the common-room). On the day of arrival we will show you around Solberget (compulsory).

• Pick-up at the train-station in Nattavaara

• Guided tour of the village (1st day at 2 pm)

• Full board with local and typical specialties (partially organic grown food)
• 4 nights of accommodation in unique rooms (usually shared rooms, doubles are additionally 8€ per person and night. We believe that you will appreciate sharing a room and thus all that is involved with keeping the fire running)
• 1 night in basic forest cabin or kota (oven-heated tent) during the tour
• 1 guided ski tours (about 2 h)
• Sledge-riding with reindeer (approx. 1,5 h)
• 2-day dog sledge tour including overnight stay in a kota (oven heated tent) or a small forest hut.
• Visit of the sami-museum in Jokkmokk
• Transfer Solberget to Jokkmokk and back

Further things you may wish to do:

• Visiting the Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi: from 50€/person for car rental (190 km one-way) plus 33 €/person admission fee).
  You may book this trip once you are in Solberget. We will lend you the car. Please do not forget your drivers license.
