The first days we will spend at Solberget – a small homestead in the wilderness of Swedish-Lapland. Here we will get used to the skis, relax in the sauna and prepare for our adventure.
After that we start the 4-days ski-tour through the Muddus national park (part of the world-heritage LAPONIA). We will pass trough untouched countryside of the southern side of the park with our traditional wooden skies. We will certainly find many tracks of animals and if we are lucky see one or the other animal. We will carry our luggage in backpacks along with us and we stay in basic forest cabins – if you are interested you may build your own bivouac in the snow. We will enjoy the unspoilt nature and peace of this national park.
If the moond shines bright enough we even may go for a night-tour.
Back in Solberget we will warm up in the sauna.
One evening an old Sami will visit you and tell you more about his life as a reindeer-herder. He will share some experiences of his life and you will have the opportunity to get a glimpse into reindeer-herding from first hand.
If you want you can take a reindeer sledge-ride after we are back in Solberget – a very special experience.

Return train tickets from Stockholm by sleeper are about 150-200€ per person. We are happy booking the tickets for you.

The tour starts at the given day at 2pm and ends at the final day at 3pm. The rooms can be used from 2pm the first day until 1pm on the final day. For organisational reasons we have to ask you to use the guest-house kitchen if you come earlier on the first day or leave later on the final day. On the first day you will get the necessary guided tour around the village.
