Jokkmokk-winter market (Sami market)
The Sami market in Jokkmokk has over 400 year tradition and is a special event here in the north. You can experience true Sami culture, handicraft and music there.Every year we spend the first two days (Thursday to Friday) on the market as there are less people there than on the weekend and it is possible to take a relaxed look around. In the evening we will attend a concert of a local artist. We invite our guests to spend time on the market and experience the unique atmosphere.
One highlight of your stay is going to be the three hour reindeer sled tour: gliding through the snow covered winter landscape of Swedish Lappland on the sled drawn by one of our tame reindeers. At an idyllic place we will stop for a break and drink a real ”wood coffee“ by the fireside. A piece of delicious grilled meat further contributes to regaining our strength.
On one evening an old Sami is visiting to tell us about his life as a reindeer breeder, giving you the unique possibility to learn about reindeer breeding out of first hand.
Skis are at your service at any time to freely venture into Solberget’s surroundings. One guided skiing tour to places of interest will take place as well.
We invite you to spend some relaxing and exiting days full of atmosphere with us. You have the opportunity to experience THE highlight of the year: the Sami-market in Jokkmokk.

Return train tickets from Stockholm by sleeper are about 150-200€ per person. We are happy booking the tickets for you.

Please note:
The tour starts at the given day at 1pm and ends at the final day at 2pm. The rooms can be used from 2pm the first day until 1pm on the final day. For organisational reasons we have to ask you to use the guest-house kitchen if you come earlier on the first day or leave later on the final day. On the first day you will get the necessary guided tour around the village. We can help you with the train ticket from Stockholm to Nattavaara.

- Accommodation in unique rooms (usually shared rooms, doubles are additionally 8€ per person and night. We believe that you will appreciate sharing a room and thus all that is involved with keeping the fire running)
- Transfer to the Sami-market on Thursday and Friday
- 1 Concert during the Sami-market
