One entire week enjoying life at Solberget’s wilderness retreat in the wilderness of Swedish-Lapland!

In this package we offer our guests to enjoy one entire week at the wilderness retreat together with us. Whilst setting up the schedule we were careful not to overload your days with “to dos”. Instead you will find a perfect mixture of organized activities, room for own explorations and time to just relax and experience the peaceful atmosphere on Solberget.
Skis are at your service at any time to freely venture into Solberget’s surroundings. Several guided skiing tours to places of interest will take place as well

On one evening an old Sami is visiting to tell us about his life as a reindeer breeder, giving you the unique possibility to learn about reindeer breeding out of first hand.

One highlight of your stay is going to be the three hour reindeer sled tour: gliding through the snow covered winter landscape of Swedish Lappland on the sled drawn by one of our tame reindeers. At an idyllic place we will stop for a break and drink a real „wood coffee“ by the fireside. A piece of delicious grilled meat further contributes to regaining our strength.

During the week you have time to visit the renowned Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi or, on another day, the Sami museum in Jokkmokk (not included in the package price).Or maybe you would also like to spend one night in the small cabin on the hill nearby?

With a little luck a ”reindeer separation“ is taking place in the region. This is the time early in the year when the Sami herd their reindeer, freely moving in the woods the rest of the year, to mark the newborns. In this rare case we are of course heading there to give you the unique possibility to closely experience a day in the working life of the Sami people. And note! This is NO event set up for tourists. On the contrary is it highly probably you are being the only tourists around. Only the good relation of the wilderness retreat retreat to the Sami people of the region is making this happen for our guests!

We heartily invite you to spend some calm, atmospheric and at the same time exiting days with us. And most of all: to once again experience a REAL winter!

First price being the price for adults, second the price for children. “Children prices” apply only for your own children up till the age of 15. All other children in party pay 75% of the normal price.

Please note:

Train ticket prices in couchette coach from Stockholm are between 20-200 Euro per person both ways. We are happy to book the tickets for you.
Our tours start at the arrival day around 1 pm from Solberget. Tours end at the departure day at around 2 pm. Rooms are ready on arrival day from 2 pm on and on departure day available till 1 pm. In case of an earlier arrival or a later departure guests are welcome to use the kitchen/common room in the guest house. The obligatory get-together meeting and welcome tour start on the arrival day at around 1 pm.

• excursion to the Sami museum in Jokkmokk: from 25 €/person for car usage (100 km one way) plus ca. 6 € entrance fee
  Can be booked on place.
  For both tours (Jokkmokk, Icehotel) you can borrow a car from the wilderness retreat and drive yourself. Please bring your driving licence.
